Frequently Asked Questions

How do I donate my piano?

You can donate your piano by filling out the donation form link on our website. If you have questions about that process, you can reach us by phone at 651-698-3280.

Do you take organs and electronic keyboards as donations?

(or other instruments)

We accept all keyboard instruments as donations. So yes -- we will take a Clavinova, organ or keyboard if it is in good working condition.

Is my piano donation tax deductible?

The value of your donated piano is tax deductible. If we send our professional moving team out to remove the piano from your home, the costs associated with moving the piano are not tax deductible.

Where will my donated piano end up?

Pianos donated to Keys 4/4 Kids are either donated to families & organizations in need of a piano, used in our annual Pianos on Parade programming, or sold to support the organization and its mission. If a piano arrives at our facility and is unable to be used in our programming (condition, damage or age being the primary factors), it is responsibly recycled.

Does every piano find a home?

No. Not every piano that is donated to Keys 4/4 Kids find a new "forever" home. Some pianos are beyond our ability to save and must be responsibly recycled and destroyed. We take this responsibility seriously.

Do you take sheet music as a donation?

Yes! We do take sheet music as a donation and offer it free of charge to the public at our store in New Brighton, MN. It's a fantastic public resource.
